PROGRAM DESIGN
Careful recruitment and selection of residents and mentor teachers within a strong partnership between the California Center on Teaching Careers, California State University, Bakersfield, and Visalia Unified School District;
Tightly integrated curriculum based on a year-long clinical placement in high-need classrooms;
Adequate living stipend and financial assistance;
Mentoring & coaching supports designed to help residents grow during the one-year of clinical co-teaching experience thru their second & third year of teaching.
